Photographs

We often take photographs on our walks, weekends away and holidays. These then usually appear on Facebook and sometimes on our website and other social media outlets.

If you are the photographer, where possible before you take a photograph, please inform other walkers that they are about to be photographed, allowing them to consent or not.

For photographs taken 'on the spur of the moment’ please check before the end of the walk with anyone included in it that they consent to being photographed.

Central Office have clearly stated that any images, including photographs, videos and graphics, used in our publicity must have the image owner's permission and comply with copyright laws.

Now that Walk Leaders have started to add photographs to Walk Manager to illustrate their walk, ideally these need to be taken by the Walk Leaders themselves. Do not use images from Google or anywhere else on the internet without permission.
